Sarah Vivian Valentine, 68, of 602 Kinsey Lane, Suffolk, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Suffolk and the daughter of the late Alton Gray Lewter and Thelma Lawrence.

He leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Lee Junious Valentine; seven sisters, Laurae Fields (Larry), Carolyn Myrick (Butch), Paulette Bonds, Nellie Lawrence (John), Johnette Askew, Lorraine Mackey (Quentin), Sylvia Fields; seven brothers, Claude Askew, Calvin Askew, Stanley Hawk (Sarah), Allen Askew (Beverly), Elton Askew (Sadie), Lonnie Askew (Theresa) and Raleigh Askew; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 1, 2010 in Sixth Street Baptist Church officiated by Dr. James Williams. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cxemetery.
