Police: No foul play involved in body found in Eclipse

Published 9:39pm Wednesday, April 4, 2012

Police have identified the body found at an Eclipse playground Tuesday afternoon but are awaiting family notification before releasing the identification, a city spokeswoman said Wednesday.

She also said that no cause of death has been determined for the 22-year-old male body that was found in a playground at the Nansemond Swim Club in Eclipse on Tuesday, but that police do not suspect foul play.

According to a police department incident report released Thursday, the swim club property manager found the body in the area of a children’s swing and slide set during a walk-through of the property.

The manager found what appeared to be a human skull on the ground and a torso with extremities on the slide platform, the report states. Police were called at 12:37 p.m. and later determined the remains were human.

The remains have been sent to the medical examiner for investigation.

Yup Animals def did their part. Its sad to me to know that a 22 year old has died there and no one has been on the news looking for their missing child. Isn’t that kind of weird?

No foul play suspected? I’m confused as too how then a skull & torso were found in 2 separate locations? Animals?
Where is the remainder of the body? Very sad story.
