The public will have the chance to see the renovated airport terminal building in Suffolk today.poets

The Suffolk Executive Airport Terminal, 1200 Gene Bolton Drive, will host a free open house today from noon to 3 p.m.

The recently completed renovations were designed to provide a more welcoming environment for visitors, according to a city press release. The goal was to improve the attractiveness of the terminal, restaurant and parking area while creating a layout that is more functional for travelers and the businesses that operate at the airport.

The open house also will allow those interested in operating the restaurant to explore the remodeled space. A request for proposals to operate the restaurant is located at www.suffolkva.us/bids/.
