Police are investigating a reported robbery in the 100 block of North Capital Street Tuesday morning.

The call came in at 1:52 a.m. Tuesday, according to a police report. The residents of the home reported that two gunmen broke into the residence, held the victim and his girlfriend at gunpoint and demanded money. They then commanded the occupants to lie down while they took the money and fled the scene, according to the report.

City spokeswoman Diana Klink said a detective has been assigned to the case. The victims also told police a similar robbery had occurred two months ago, but they never reported it.
