Suffolk police are investigating the case of two young children found wandering away from home Wednesday morning.

The call was received at 8:48 a.m., city spokeswoman Diana Klink said. Police found two children, ages 1 and 2, unaccompanied by an adult in the 1300 block of Glen Haven Drive.

The mother was later located, Klink said. She could not say how far away the children live. The case is under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
