His Eagle project benefited the Chesapeake Fire Department and its at-risk youth intervention mentoring program. Trevor planned and assembled wilderness survival kits and, with the help of his fellow Scouts, taught at-risk youth wilderness survival skills during camping trips.

These youth, who had never been camping, were taken on trips in which they became “lost,” and had to use their wilderness survival skills to find their way out of the woods.

In addition to receiving an award from the Chesapeake Fire Department, Trevor has received other recognitions for his leadership skills and for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
