NRHS teams lead the local pack

Nansemond River High School’s girls’ and boys’ cross-country teams finished in fifth and seventh place, respectively, during separate meets for the Southeastern District conference at Bell’s Mill Park in Chesapeake on Wednesday.

King’s Fork High School finished in sixth place among the girls. In the boys’ competition, Lakeland and King’s Fork teams finished in 9th and 10th places, respectively.

Scores for the girls’ meet were as follows:

6-King’s Fork (187)

Nansemond River’s girls’ scores toward the team total: Kara Dixon, 23; Candice James, 24; Courtney James, 28; Michaela Banks, 29; Kayla Cwiklinski, 30.

King’s Fork’s girls’ scores toward the team total: Te’shaibrah Myles, 34; Danielle Hill, 36; Courtney Ricks, 38; Julia Moretz, 39; Patricia Barnes, 40.

Lakeland’s boys’ scores toward the team total: Joe Rager, 40; Jake Crowell, 42, Jeremy Hill, 57; Dylan Ayers, 63; Tristan Bucker, 64.

King’s Fork’s boys’ scores toward the team total: Miguel Ramos, 12; Brandon Allen, 61; Connor Lawson, 62; Carr Darion, 65; Duncan Joseph, 67.
