ZUNI — Lanneta Lowe Moody, 69, passed away peacefully on Oct. 19, 2012, in Zuni, Va., with her loving family by her side.

She was born March 5, 1943, to Herman and Edna Lowe and raised in Suffolk, Va. She attended Suffolk High School and Chowan College, and was a radiologic technologist for 47 years. Lanneta was very proud of her vocation and excelled at her work. She was especially fulfilled by her years at Portsmouth General Hospital and Atlantic Orthopedics Specialists.

Most notably she was a kind, generous, and supportive mother and grandmother. Her last days will always be remembered for how she cherished every moment with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Jenifer (Joe) Hunnicutt, of Zuni, Va.; her son, Brett (Megan) Moody, of Fairfax, Va.; two grandchildren; and cousins, Melinda Wilde and Wilton “Dal” Davidson Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434, by the Rev.
