Mrs. Elaine G. Walters departed this earthly life on Oct. 20, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents, Junius Henry and Matilda Johnson Gray, and her husband, Marvin Walters. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Grace W. Bowie; and her son, Marvin Walters Jr.; a loving cousin, Mae Florence Claud; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at noon at the First Baptist Church Mahan Street, Suffolk, Va., Dr. Steven Blunt, pastor. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. At the request of Mrs. Elaine G. Walters there will not be a public viewing. Harris Funeral Home has been entrusted with the home going services.
