SUFFOLK — Johnie Alphonso Williams, the eldest son of nine siblings, was born on July 13, 1951, to the late William Alphonso Williams and Juanita Elizabeth Faulk Williams in Marianna, Pa.

He departed this life to live in his “Heavenly Home” on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, while at Norfolk Healthcare Facility in Norfolk, Va. Johnie leaves to celebrate his life five children, Antonio and Carlton Wilson, both of Suffolk, Va., Theresa and Monique, of Suffolk, and Tammy Jones (Jerry), of Fayetteville, N.C.; his sisters, Evelyn Wiggins, of Richmond, Va., Thelma Barksdale (Sammie), of Passaic, N.J., Mattie Turner (Nelson) and Nicole Hall (Christopher), both of Suffolk, Va.; his brother, Eddie Lawrence (Joy), of Willingboro, N.J., Howard Williams, of Richmond, Va., and Boyce Williams (Toney), of Norcross, Ga.; three uncles, Johnie Preston Faulk Jr. (Marceles), Albert Faulk, both of Suffolk, Charles Horne (Edith), of Richmond, Va., two aunts, Gloria Faulk and Neil Faulk, each of Suffolk, Va., several grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and other family.
