Mr. Nelson Glenn Sheek, age 89, of Suffolk, Va., died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012.

Mr. Sheek was born Oct. 2, 1923 in Yadkin County to Calvin Nelson and McCollie Jane Speer Sheek. Mr. Sheek retired from AT&T as a communication installer for the Navy. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Edgewood Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Julius Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.

He is survived by: his wife, Laura Catherine Glass Sheek, of the home; one brother, Thomas Roy Sheek and wife, Colene, of Yadkinville; one nephew, Roy Steven Sheek and wife, Joyce, of Germantown, N.C.
