Mattawalda Kearney departed this earthly life on Nov. 22, 2012.

Survivors include her one daughter, Lilonga Lewis of Suffolk; two sons, Kenyatta Kearney of Virginia Beach and Abdulla Mitchell and daughter-in-law, Melvonna Mitchell of Suffolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Funeral of Triumph will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. at Lakeview Missionary Church, 635 Brook Ave. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Harris Funeral Home has been entrusted with the homegoing service.
