KFHS girls dominate NRHS

The King’s Fork Lady Bulldogs hosted Nansemond River on Friday night and put on strong performances at both ends of the basketball court, defeating the Lady Warriors 72-41.

“I was happy,” King’s Fork head coach Maurice Fofana said. “Defense was much better than Tuesday night. We got up as many shots as we expected. The team played hard as normal.”

Junior center Khadedra Croker led the way for the Lady Bulldogs with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and eight blocks. Senior shooting guard Shaikeyla Jordan contributed 13 points, seven assists, and five steals, while senior wing Adrieanna McCrary rounded out the Lady Bulldogs in double figures with 12 points.

King’s Fork (2-0, 2-0) plays on the road Tuesday against Great Bridge, and Nansemond River (0-3, 0-2) hosts Lakeland on the same night.
