Lakeland field hockey players Jamee Albright, Summer Parker and Kristen Vick received all-state honors by being named to the All-Group AAA Second Team.

Of the three juniors, only Vick had previously been recognized on the state level. Prior to this 2012 honor, all three girls were voted to this year’s All-Southeastern District First Team and All-Eastern Region First Team and Vick was named SED Player of the Year.

Parker tallied 38 goals this year to go with nine assists as a forward. Albright had 12 goals and 11 assists as a midfielder, and Vick was a powerful presence on defense, also accumulating seven goals and eight assists on offense.

The three girls were instrumental in leading the Lady Cavaliers to a 17-2 overall record. The team won the Southeastern District regular season title, the SED tournament championship and it advanced to the quarterfinals of the Eastern Region Tournament.
