Clifford Branch, the city’s chief information officer, has been reassigned to work on a special project, Chief of Staff Debbie George confirmed Saturday.

Branch, who was the director of the Information Technology Department, will work on a regional communications unit, George said. The regional unit will assist emergency communications in disaster situations, she added.
