Louise N. Knight, 95, of 6100 A Brookwood Drive, Suffolk, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va. She was a native of Powerville, N.C., and the daughter of Linwood Newsome and Mary Freeman Newsome. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Knight.

She retired from Gold Crest Peanut Company. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church and a former musician.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Mildred Boone, of Suffolk; one son, Louis Knight (Eleanor), of New York; devoted granddaughter, Bridget Hardy; devoted grandson, Yves King; nine grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Holy Trinity Church, 3611 Thorne Ave., Portsmouth, with Elder Dennis Skeeter officiating.
