Almighty God in His infinite wisdom called His beloved Angel to her eternal home. The Rev. Barbara B. Eaton, passed away peacefully in her home on Dec. 7, 2012, in the early afternoon.

She was born Nov. 6, 1938, in Harlem, N.Y., to the late William Bracey and Elizabeth Turner. She attended public school and graduated in 1957 from Hayden High School. A loving mother to her three children and exemplary wife, she accepted her Lord and Savior at the age of 17 years old.

She was a talented interior decorator, keeping her yard and being in ministry with her husband. She was the pastor of Eaton’s Temple Holiness Church in Drumhill, N.C. and Suffolk, Va.

Critical health issues faced her husband, the late Bishop L.F. Eaton II D.D. She was always by his side — strong and steady. At 67, she was left a widow after 48 years of marriage.

Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Terry E. Knight; a son, Elder Timothy F. Eaton Sr. (Marie); six grandchildren, Tremaine (Andre’), Terrell (Christanique), Tiffany, Tyrice (Travis), Timothy Jr. (Keisha) and Tara; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Samuel Johnson (Marie); two brothers-in-law, Elder Arsie Eaton (Donna) and Emmitt Brown; one sister-in-law, Lillian Little (Ilon); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and the entire Eaton’s Temple Holiness Church family.

The homegoing service will be Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Eaton’s Temple Holiness Church, Drumhill, N.C., with Bishop S.D. Willis presiding, Bishop Joseph Snead, Eulogist, and Elder Timothy F. Eaton Sr., pastor. Interment will be in Southview Cemetery, Franklin, Va. A wake will be held on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at 6 p.m. at Eaton’s Temple. Crocker Funeral Home Inc. is handling the arrangements.
