The Suffolk Rotary Club is collecting pet-related items for Suffolk Humane through next Thursday.

Pet food, cat litter, toys, leashes and other items can be dropped off at the office of Rotary member Margie Wiley, financial advisor for Edward Jones, Suite 300, 3005 Corporate Lane; at the Suffolk Humane office, 4300 Nansemond Parkway; and at Mike Duman Auto Sales, 2300 Godwin Blvd.

“I am excited that Rotary is taking on this project to help homeless animals and the organization dedicated to helping them,” Wiley stated in a news release.

“By collecting these items, Suffolk Humane will have a head start for the new year in caring for homeless pets and can use more of its budget on other needs. We invite the public to participate as well. In this season of caring for others, we don’t want to forget our animal companions.”
