With husband Henry Buck Jr. by her side, new Suffolk School Board member Judith Brooks-Buck was sworn in Thursday by Clerk of Circuit Court Randy Carter.

The ceremony was held at City Council chambers before the scheduled workshop and board meeting.

Henry Buck said he was “very proud” of his wife, who fills the Nansemond borough seat left vacant by the redistricting process. “She’s a team player and she’s an educator,” he said. “This should be a good union.”
