Mr. Earl Garfield Smith Jr. departed this earthly life on Jan. 16, 2013, at Sentara Nursing Home, Portsmouth. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. The family will be at the home of his brother, Keith Smith, 420 Collier Crescent, Suffolk. Harris Funeral Home has been entrusted with the home going service.
