Mr. Earl Garfield Smith Jr. departed this earthly life on Jan. 16, 2013, at Sentara Nursing Home, Portsmouth. A funeral of triumph will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the East End Baptist church. Earl will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. for viewing. The family will be at the home of his brother, Keith Smith, 420 Collier Crescent, Suffolk. Harris Funeral Home has been entrusted with the home going service.
