After a victory over Lakeland on Thursday, the Nansemond River Lady Warriors could not keep the momentum going on the road against Deep Creek, dropping Friday’s contest by the score of 58-46.

NR continued to get strong play from its guards, however, as senior Ashante Humphries led the team with 17 points, and sophomore Laura Ortiz was close behind with 16.

Nansemond River (4-13, 3-10) returns to the court on Friday at home against Hickory.
