Bullet grazes man’s head

An 18-year-old man narrowly escaped much worse injury when a bullet grazed his head during a shooting early Sunday morning.

Police still are investigating the incident, which was reported at 2:23 a.m. Sunday. It happened in the 6000 block of Bradford Drive, in the College Square area, according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink.

The victim told officers he was getting out of a car he was riding in with three other individuals when a dark-colored, two-door Honda or Acura drove slowly by. The victim and witnesses heard one shot, and the victim was transported to Sentara Belleharbour for treatment.
