A Suffolk man reported a group of individuals assaulted and robbed him twice in the same day, and four people are now charged in connection with the alleged incidents.

The victim said he was in the 1300 block of East Washington Street about 1 p.m. Monday when he was jumped by one person, and then several others joined the fight. His wallet was taken from his pocket during the altercation, but he was able to flee the scene.

Only two hours later, the man said he was assaulted by the same people at Lake Kennedy Park. Officers found the man with a torn and bloody shirt when they responded to the park.

He was transported to Sentara Obici Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Arrested on a charge of assault and battery was Kavon Devonte Everett, 20. Arrested on one robbery charge each were Keon Deonte Everett, 21; Tishon O’shay Madison, 19; and Brian Edward Johnson, 22.
