Lake Prince Woods’ skilled nursing unit recently underwent its annual survey from the Virginia Department of Health and was found to be deficiency free.

Each of Virginia’s 279 long-term care nursing facilities undergoes an on-site survey each year, usually lasting two to four days in each location. The surveyors look at many aspects of health and life safety involving all departments that interact with the skilled nursing unit.

In receiving the deficiency-free rating, Lake Prince Woods was found to be in substantial compliance with rigorous standards set by both the Virginia Department of Health and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, LPW officials said in a press release this week.
