Events rescheduled

After a snow-covered weekend, some local schools and organizations are starting to announce rescheduled events that were canceled Friday and Saturday. Below is a list of some of the events:

  • King’s Fork High School has rescheduled its basketball games against Oscar Smith High School for Feb. 4. The girls will play at home, and the boys will travel to Oscar Smith.
  • Lakeland High School has rescheduled its basketball games against Western Branch High School for Feb. 6. The boys will play at home, and the girls will play away.
  • Nansemond River High School has rescheduled its basketball games against Hickory High School for Feb. 6. The girls will play at home, and the boys will travel to Hickory. The wrestling meet has not yet been rescheduled.
  • Nansemond-Suffolk Academy has rescheduled its girls’ basketball game against Collegiate School to Feb. 8. The game will begin at 5:45 p.m. at NSA. The swim meet has not yet been rescheduled.
  • First Baptist Christian School has rescheduled its basketball games against Virginia Beach Friends School for Feb. 11. The boys will play at home, and the girls will play away.
  • The prayer service for schools at Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church, sponsored by In God We Trust Ministries, has not yet been rescheduled.
  • Cover 3 Foundation’s Childhood Hunger and Obesity Benefit at King’s Fork High School has been tentatively rescheduled for Feb. 23.

The Suffolk News-Herald will announce rescheduled events in the calendar when they are confirmed.
