Anne Simpson Turner

Anne Simpson Turner, 83, passed away Jan. 29, 2013. She was born in Suffolk, Va., the daughter of the late Louise Smith Simpson and Edgar Wilson Simpson. She was predeceased by her husband, A. Johnson Turner. Anne retired as a librarian for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and taught the Children’s Sunday School Class for numerous years. She was also a 4-H Horse Club Leader for more than 20 years and was a past Girl Scout Leader.

Anne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Candice T. and Roger T. Williams; grandsons, Clayton A. and Michael K. Williams; great-grandson, Adam J. Williams; and sister, Linda L. Simpson.

A graveside service will be held Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.
