Helen Esteleta Cook, 98, of Suffolk, Va., passed away on Feb. 6, 2013. A native of Sesser, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Alonzo Brown and Maggie Rizzly Brown. She was also predeceased by her husband, Lyle Jasper Cook; a daughter, Lila L. Cook Raul; and her daughter-in-law, Virginia Britton Cook.

She is survived by her son, James Alonzo Cook Sr., of Suffolk, and a brother, Roy Brown, of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Friends may join the family Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory from 3 to 5 p.m. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton, Ill.
