Suffolk’s Bryan Nuckles, a Nansemond-Suffolk Academy alumnus, won two events but was unable to lift McDaniel College to a team victory over Washington, Md., on Saturday in Centennial Conference men’s swimming action.

Nuckles won the 50 (21.56) and 100 (57.31) freestyle events.

He also joined Keegan Duesterhaus, Stevie Hoyt and Jono Leafblad to finish second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:44.01.

The Green Terror returns to action at the CC Championship hosted by Franklin & Marshall on Feb. 22-24.
