A hundred questions about Suffolk

To the editor:

There are so many things I would like to talk about since returning to my hometown.

First up are the trains that run two to four times at night, from 10 p.m. until 4 or 5 a.m. These trains can shut a town down at any given time.

How can one’s electrical bill cost more that a mortgage loan? And why is it that when I call electric company, I get the runaround? We had warm days last month, but my electric bill was more than $500 for one month. That’s crazy and insane. Why are there such high electric bills in poor and low-income areas?

Why trash is left on some streets for weeks? And why we can’t get new curbs on Wilson Street? Why does this street look like a run-down neighborhood, and why don’t we hold landlords responsible for their rentals and for the rent they charge for their homes?

I have a hundred more questions. Who do you talk to about these things? Help!
