Shirley A. Boone, 53, of the 200 block of Oak Street, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at her residence.

A visitation will take place on Friday at the funeral home from noon to 7 p.m., and the family will greet guests from 5 to 7 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, and she will be laid to rest in the T.E. Cooke-Overton Garden of Carver Memorial Cemetery. The funeral procession will depart from 215 Hunter St. at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
