NSA tennis improves to 5-3

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy boys’ tennis team beat Hampton Roads Academy 5-0 on Thursday.

The win improves the Saints’ record to 5-3.

Singles results were as follows:

  • Corey Cutright (NS) leading Joel Nochimson 6-5, called due to rain
  • Tucker Firnstahl (NS) leading Ben Nochinson 1 set to none, called due to rain
  • Jackson DeMello (NS) leading Matthew Cockrell 1 set to none, called due to rain
  • Preston Firnstahl (NS) d. John Wieliczko (HR), 6-0, 6-0
  • Nathan Pharr (NS) d. Tallack Meloano (HR), 6-2, 6-0
  • Ryan Witherow (NS) leading Rumit Patel 1 set to none, called due to rain

Doubles results were as follows:

  • Corey Cutright and Tucker Firnstahl (NS) d. Joel Nochimson and Ben Nochimson (HR), 8-3
  • Nathan Pharr and Preston Firnstahl (NS) d. Matthew Cockrell and John Wieliczko
