Cleveland Casper

SUFFOLK — Clyde Cleveland Casper, 65, of 221 W. Liberty Spring Road, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation, Nansemond Point, Suffolk.

Mr. Casper was born in Gates County, N.C., and was the son of the late Richard Norman and Geneva White Casper. A retired farmer, he was a member of Reynoldson Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Maurice Casper.

Surviving are two sons, Richard Casper and Jason Casper; two sisters, Mary Kiger and Vivian Young; and several grandchildren, all of Suffolk.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, N.C., and will be officiated by the Rev. Billy Presley. Burial will follow in the Cool Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in the Eure community of Gates County. Friends may join the family in the funeral home the hour prior to services on Friday.
