Alan “Skeet” Aultman was ushered home to rest with the Lord on May 2, 2013. He was born March 28, 1938, to the late Isabell (Aultman) Henderson and Shade Henderson in Aiken, S.C.

He received his education in Uniondale, N.Y. Alan served his country as an Army Sergeant with the 11th Airborne Division. Following his service, he worked as a delivery driver for the United Parcel Service and later as a production manager for Estee Lauder. After retiring, he moved to Suffolk, where he developed a passion for gardening. He had a love for animals.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 53 years, Barbara; his beloved children, David (Shuwanda), of New York, Andrea (Keith), of Pennsylvania, and Dwayne Aultman, of New York; six grandchildren, Brandon Harrison, Damarr Aultman, Devon Smith, Tanisha Aultman, Amanda Smith and Endia Johnson; four brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law; a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Mount Sinai Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. William L. Lang. Interment will be in Albert G.
