  • Davon Grayson, senior for King’s Fork High School track and field — He won the Southeastern District championship in the long jump event with a state-qualifying leap of 23’11”. He also recorded a state qualifying mark in the high jump with a height of 6’6” which earned him second place at the district championships.
  • Tucker Rhoads, senior for Nansemond River High School baseball — Despite the loss to Western Branch High School, he went 2-for-3, including a double and a two-run home run and batted in three runs to give the Warriors a strong chance against the Bruins in the quarterfinals of the district tournament.
