Jenette Kindred Davis, 56, of 131 S. Fourth St., Suffolk, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Isle of Wight County and the daughter of the late Robert Ralph Kindred and Pauline Carr Kindred. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Davis.

She attended Georgia Tyler High School. She was employed at Riverside Convalescent Center for 24 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Aljeanna Davis (Michael), of Portsmouth; two sons, Andre Davis (Tamika), of Surry, and Alondo Davis; seven sisters, Phyllis Chapman, Loucinda Wynn, Paulette Simmons, Lottie Mae Bailey, Maxine Duck, Lora Butler and Constance Kindred; three brothers, Robert Kindred (Gwendolyn), Charles Kindred and Milton Kindred; special daughter-in-law, Sylena Clayton, of Surry; 16 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Jean Davis; father-in-law, Willie Davis; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at Shiloh Baptist Church, Fire Tower Road, Zuni, officiated by the Rev. Larry Simmons and the Rev. James Elam.
