Seven-year-old Parker Duke of Suffolk learned on Monday that he had won the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network’s CareFirst BlueCross Blue Shield Adam Jones Fan Challenge.

The rules asked fans to be creative and challenge the Baltimore Orioles’ star center fielder to a contest of their own choosing. Duke’s video challenging Jones to a doughnut-eating contest received 684 votes, which was over 400 more than the nearest competitor.

Eley Duke, a proud parent, shared that votes were solicited for Parker from friends in Australia, Germany, Canada and all over the United States.

While a firm date has yet to be set, Duke will likely get to meet Jones for the contest in the latter half of July, after the All-Star break.
