LaRay D. Kindred has completed his junior year at Elizabeth City State University with a grade-point average of 3.9.

Kindred is a graduate of King’s Fork High School. He is the son of Sandra Boone Pope (Jeffrey) and Larry W. Kindred Jr. He is the grandson of Larry and Thelma Kindred and the late James and Mamie Boone. His step-grandparents are Johnnie and Joyce Pope.
