The Pilot Club of Suffolk will again sponsor the Queen’s Luncheon and Fashion Show this year on Oct. 3 at the Suffolk National Guard Armory at noon.

Participants in last year’s Queen’s Luncheon and Fashion Show wait to strut their stuff. Tickets are on sale for this year’s event, which includes lunch, the fashion show and the crowning of the Peanut Queen and her court for the Suffolk Peanut Festival.

Tickets are $17 each and are on sale now at the Suffolk Visitor Center, 524 N. Main St. Proceeds benefit the Pilot Club, which supports research for brain-related diseases and disorders and promotes brain safety and injury prevention. It also supports a number of charitable causes and other nonprofits in the city.

The Queen’s Luncheon names the Peanut Queen and her court for the Suffolk Peanut Festival, which will be held this year from Oct. 10-13. The court includes two girls from each of Suffolk’s five public and private high schools, and the queen is chosen from among them.
