Ernestine Parker, 94, formerly of White Marsh Road and a resident of Suffolk for more than 70 years, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at Sentara Obici Hospital.

She was a native of New Jersey and the daughter of the late Raymond Dillard and Ernestine Dillard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Parker Sr.; two sons, Mynell Parker and William Parker; and two sisters, Lilly Mae Francis and Bert T. Warren.

She retired as a domestic worker. She was a former member of Corinth Chapel United Church of Christ.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Margaret White of Los Angeles, CA; one son, Robert Parker Jr. (Bobbie) of Maywood, N.J.; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, officiated by Bishop Madison G. Copeland. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
