To the editor:

Gracious.

I saw the rather-ominous Democratic ad attacking Ken Cuccinelli’s “war on abortion” on behalf of Terry McAuliffe. Rarely have I seen so much deliberate misinformation packed into a mere 30 seconds.

But the most egregiously misleading statement was that Cuccinelli “bullied” the Virginia Board of Health. The Attorney General, as was his job, simply informed the Board that they could not exempt existing abortion clinics from regulations ensuring that they offer sanitary conditions for women.

That’s not a war on abortion. That’s a war on the Kermit Gosnells of the world, who are conducting their own “war on women” by not upholding the highest standards of safety — with Democrats like Terry McAuliffe as willing allies.
