More teens arrested in burglary

Charges are pending against two more teens, both 15-year-old males, police say were involved in the burglary of Southern Gun Works on Sunday evening.

Additional charges also are pending against 14-year-old and 15-year-old males who were previously arrested.

Police believe the foursome broke into the gun shop in the 100 block of South Main Street and stole 11 firearms, a city spokeswoman said in a press release. They were caught when a citizen in the Jackson Street area saw two of them walking down the street with rifles and reported it.

Glad to hear that we have responsible citizens on Jackson Street. Hope the thieves burn. Or maybe they are just cowards who have to use a weapon so settle their differences.
