Margaret H. Franklin

Margaret Horton Franklin, 91, went to be with her Lord on Nov. 2, 2013.

She was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Edna Horton. She was predeceased by her husband, William Irving Franklin, and her three brothers.

Margaret was a lifelong member of the Whaleyville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons, William I. Franklin Jr. and wife Judy of Suffolk, Stephen K. Franklin and wife Pam of Zuni, Charles B. Franklin and wife Donna of Suffolk; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister Elizabeth Umphlett of Suffolk; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held by the Rev. Jack Meservey at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at Holly Lawn Cemetery, 1525 N. Main St.

R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., is serving the family.
