Patricia S. Howell

Patricia Sager Howell, 80, passed away Nov. 1, 2013, at her home.

She was the daughter of the late Albert and Bessie Sager. She was preceded in death by her sister, Beth Mayo.

Patricia was involved with many aspects of the American Cancer Society, including Relay for Life, writing expressions of condolences for donations to ACS, and running a support group at Sentara Obici Hospital for breast cancer support.

She is survived by her son, Jay Howell and wife Kim of Suffolk; daughter Tricia Howell of Wilmington, Del.; grandchildren Harris James Howell and Katherine Beth Howell; and sister Alice Tripp of Virginia Beach.

A memorial service will be held by the Rev. Les Ferguson at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 213 North Main St., Suffolk. A reception will follow the service in St. Paul’s Parish Hall.

R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., is serving the family.
