The fire marshal’s office responded to another bomb threat at John Yeates Middle School on the last day before Christmas break started, city spokesman Tim Kelley said.

This threat was found written on the wall of a girls’ bathroom, he said. The incident is under investigation.

Hate to sound negative, but I disagree. The kids doing this don’t care about, nor do they respect anything…or anyone!! They won’t learn and finally say “why did I do that; what was I thinking?” until their life is confined to a cell. It’s sad!

You’re probably right, and I agree, it is sad.

I feel bad for the kids that want to learn, that want to be at school. I feel bad for the parents that sit and worry for the safety of their child at school. I feel bad for the teachers and other staff of the schools that have to work in threatening conditions.

This is now what? 7 threats since school started in September? Yup, just looked back at the last article, Monday, December 16, 2013, was 6 then.

Perhaps the Suffolk Mobile Command Unit can be parked out front for a few days upon school re-opening. Give these kids something to think about the next time one of ‘em wants to play games with something so serious.

Okay, might be a little much, but hey, it certainly would give some of those kids quite the set of butterflies in the tummies to roll up to school and see that with the added benefit of the bus being out!
