Elder Linda Francine Vinson, 65, of 918 Carolina Road, departed Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at her residence. Elder Vinson was the daughter of the late Leroy and Elsie Scott.

Elder Linda Vinson was the co-pastor of New Jerusalem Holiness Church and was assistant manager of IHOP.

She leaves her memory to be cherished by her loving husband, Pastor Ronnie Vinson; two daughters, Crystal Parker (Darrell), of Suffolk, and Tracey Hawkins, of Midlothian; two sons, Julian Roulhac, of Portsmouth, and Jermaine (Megan), of Beaverton, Ore.; two sisters, Leola Brown, of Suffolk, and Lillian Scott, of Portsmouth; two brothers-in-law, Terry Vinson, of Suffolk, and James Vinson, of Haggerstown, Md.; one sister-in-law, Patricia Ann Vinson, of Philadelphia, Pa.; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A wake will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Crocker Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday March 5, 2014, at noon at New Mt. Joy Food for Life Ministries. Pastor Viola Parker will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
