An interim School Board member to replace Diane Foster in Sleepy Hole will serve through Dec. 31, according to Suffolk Public Schools.

Interested applicants from the Sleepy Hole borough can download an application form at www.spsk12.net or obtain one in person at the School Administrative Offices, 100 N. Main St. The forms, together with any additional information or résumés, must be returned to Cynthia B. Chavis, clerk of the board, by 2 p.m. April 30.

The form asks applicants to state previous experience serving on public boards or commissions and their interest in serving public education in the city of Suffolk.

A special election to decide a permanent replacement for Foster, who has moved to another borough, will be held in November. The term expires at the end of 2016.
