E. Frances Norman

Emma Frances Norman, 85, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2014.

Frances was the daughter of the late Ethel and Fred Fletcher. She was predeceased in death by her husband of 37 years Edward C. Norman and two children, Galen and David Norman.

Norman was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, and the Chancel Choir, the Prime Time Singers and the Red Hat Society. She worked at Belk’s for 20 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Karen Gunter and husband Steve of Suffolk; sons Tim Norman and wife Karen, and Kelvin Norman and wife Kim, all of Smithfield; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Main Street United Methodist Church, 202 North Main St., Suffolk, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2014, by the Rev. Myrtle Hatcher.
