The Suffolk News-Herald will begin carrying USA Weekend Magazine beginning next Sunday.

“We’ve added USA Weekend to the Sunday paper because of its fresh perspective on the people and trends that affect our lives,” Editor Res Spears said.

“We believe having the weekly magazine inserted into Sunday’s edition will significantly contribute to our continuing effort to provide interesting, relevant content that our readers will not find anywhere else. And the publication’s focus on celebrities and others around the United States offers a perfect complement to the Suffolk News-Herald’s all-local content.”

Each week inside USA Weekend, readers will find lively interviews with today’s most intriguing personalities, from top celebrities to extraordinary people who make a difference in their communities. Readers also will find helpful advice to save time and money; delicious, do-able recipes from the Culinary Institute of America; and the latest information for their health from the Emmy Award-winning TV series “The Doctors.”

Each issue of USA Weekend also features fun games from puzzle master Terry Stickles.

“As the Suffolk News-Herald continues to keep pace with changing times, we are pleased to introduce USA WEEKEND Magazine in our Sunday paper,” Suffolk News-Herald Publisher Steve Stewart said.

Coincidentally the cover story in the inaugural issue in the SNH will focus on the future of media, with a particular examination of how always-on digital media is taking over our lives.

There will be recipes from the Culinary Institute of America; interviews with “Cosby Show” alum Lisa Bonet, comedian Dane Cook and singer La Toya Jackson; and tips for healthy snacks and cutting cholesterol from “The Doctors.”
