Car fire damages mobile home

Vehicle fire: A car fire at Bullock’s Mobile Home Park on Pughsville Road early Saturday morning destroyed the car and damaged the nearby mobile home. The home, which was new, had not yet been occupied. There were no injuries in the blaze.

A vehicle fire at a mobile home park in the 3800 block of Pughsville Road resulted in the destruction of the car and damage to an unoccupied mobile home early Saturday morning.

Emergency dispatchers received a call at 5:38 a.m. about a car on fire at Bullock’s Mobile Home Park, Suffolk spokeswoman Diana Klink stated in a press release. When they arrived on scene at 5:46 a.m., firefighters found the car fully involved and that the fire had spread to the mobile home nearby.

The fire was extinguished within 12 minutes, Klink stated. The car was a total loss; the mobile home was new and had not yet been occupied.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
